The 12 Apostles, situated on the Great Ocean Road is arguably one of the most iconic Australian tourist attractions on one of the world’s greatest drives. And just five minutes away is the 13th Apostle Backpackers and it’s looking for a new owner - Why shouldn’t it be you??

This impressive sandstone building is in the township of Princetown, just as the mouth of the river meets the ocean. Built 20 years ago, it’s got many more wonderful years ahead of it welcoming all those lucky enough to experience this part of Victoria.

It’s hard not to notice the ample parking area at the front of the building and upon entry you will get an immediate sense of what a special place this is. Currently this structure is configured with four traditional sized guest rooms in addition to the enormous dorm style room, which can effectively accommodate up to 24 lucky souls. All rooms have floor to ceiling glass sliding doors which not only allow for the light to flow in, but also for each room to have its own access to the outside environs.

There are two huge bathrooms housing a total of six showers, six toilets and six vanities. The hues of blues and whites have a distinct nautical feel which is a great nod to the Shipwreck Coast.

There is a huge communal kitchen / living / dining area and one can only imagine the representation of nations, enjoyment, laughter, and shared experiences that this space has witnessed. Spilling out from here is the huge timber alfresco which allows for outdoor cooking and eating and provides the perfect spot for a cold drink while watching the beautiful sunsets.

At the front of the building is a fully self-contained owner / managers residence. Comfort has not been spared in this area with a kitchen / living / meals area and bedroom complete with ensuite and walk in robe.

Lastly, the gem in the crown is the fully glassed-in turret on the second storey of the building allowing for a 360-degree view which is nothing short of spectacular.

Whilst largely having been in hibernation for the last couple of years, there is an outstanding opportunity for the phoenix to rise from the ashes and take full flight again. Alternatively, there is the option of a second act consisting of functions, school camps, retreats or a myriad of alternatives only restricted by your imagination.
